Settle on one question
Pick a real situation you’d like to understand better. Take a breath and keep that one question in mind.
A timeless way to meet the moment
The I Ching won’t make the choice for you. It can offer a fresh angle on the one you’re already facing—a little room to pause, reflect, and see what might be changing.
One question. Six coin tosses. A new perspective.
The Book of Changes
The I Ching (also called the Yijing) is a Chinese classic built around 64 hexagrams—six-line patterns that describe different moments, challenges, and possibilities.
People have turned to it for centuries, not for a fixed forecast, but for a way to look at a situation from another angle. Think of it as a thoughtful prompt: one that can help you notice what’s moving, what’s steady, and what deserves your attention.
Simple ritual, meaningful pattern
A traditional coin-toss casting is easy to follow. You bring the question; the coins help shape the hexagram you’ll read.
Pick a real situation you’d like to understand better. Take a breath and keep that one question in mind.
Each toss of three coins makes one line—solid or broken. Sometimes a line is changing, hinting that the situation is in motion.
Repeat the toss six times, adding one line at a time from the bottom. Those six lines together form your hexagram.
There’s no special equipment to buy. On The Hexagrams, you can shake a virtual coin cup and cast right in your browser.
See how it feelsMore than a label
Your result isn’t a verdict or a promise. It’s a way to frame the moment—and consider what a thoughtful next step could look like.
